    <summary type="html">There&amp;#039;s no other place to put this, so I should mention that there is currently &amp;#040;Dec. 23, 2008&amp;#041; a discussion on &amp;#034;best computer books&amp;#034; at www.slashdot.org.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Slashdot is composed of programmers, computer system administrators, assorted geeks and &amp;#040;on very rare occasions&amp;#041; people like me.  I read it to see what&amp;#039;s happening in the &amp;#034;technology world&amp;#034; &amp;#040;broadly interpreted&amp;#041;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I *had* to post that as I librarian I was interested in the answers.  There&amp;#039;s a nice discussion, something you don&amp;#039;t see in reviews.</summary>
