Kansas Continuing Education
Welcome to the WebJunction Kansas home for the library administrators training program offered by the State Library of Kansas. Our training supports the voluntary certification program,"Reaching for Excellence: Certification Program for Kansas Library Administrators" administered by the State Library. The Kansas certification program was designed to help Kansas librarians document and market their career development. The program is open to administrative personnel in all Kansas libraries. Library administrators are certified at one of four levels based on their educational accomplishments. Complete information about the certification program is available in the program guide. "Core Competencies for Kansas Library Directors" is the foundation of the Kansas certification program. Competencies are arranged within 7 categories:
Every year, the State Library offers 2 continuing education events for Kansas librarians in support of the certification program. The Continuing Education area of WebJunction Kansas supports each of these training programs by housing topic and workshop resources, a document repository for student projects and a discussion board for brainstorming, sharing and support. Please use the left-side navigation menu to find information and resources related to the library administration training topics.
